We’re excited to announce that we are opening our second nursery in the Spring. BeBright Bunnies Sydenham will be based in Station Approach, Lower Sydenham, SE26.

What kind of site is it?

The Sydenham site is a bright, new, architect designed space within the new Dylon Works site. The new build block contains 223 new flats, our purpose-built nursery, a new restaurant and retail space. It has been inspired by the iconic Dylon Works factory it replaces.

Great location for Sydenham and Beckenham parents

The new BeBright Bunnies nursery is conveniently located close to Lower Sydenham train station and the 352 bus stop. It will feature all the same traits as our fabulous Brockley nursery, our colours, unique lights and mezzanine, plus a wonderful outdoor space. Beckenham Place Park, Crystal Palace, Horniman Museum and Gambados are a short day-trip away from this new nursery near Beckenham.

When will it open?

We expect it to open Spring 2019 and yes we will also have two pet bunny rabbits there, which I’m sure will visit us on Telegraph Hill.

If you’re a parent at our Telegraph Hill nursery and have any concerns please make an appointment with Cher and Kate and we can chat you through it. If you are not a current parent but are interested in our new site please contact us to request an application form for your child or to apply for a role.

Please spread the word to the Sydenham area. We are looking for some outstanding staff and interested parents.

This second nursery will benefit everyone:

We will be able to invest in our staff more and develop our unique dynamic child-centred approach to Early Years. This training and development will directly impact your children. We will be able to share resources, ideas and innovations and even go on visits around Sydenham, Crystal Palace and Beckenham.

In 2018 we introduced new training:

  • Creative thinking with the Capture Art system,
  • Communication training to improve peer-to-peer and parent-to-carer communication and
  • Creative education how to plan, prepare and develop educational and playful engagements will the children at all ages
  • Unconscious bias to encourage diverse thinking.

In 2019 we aim to:

  • get in other external trainers in movement, emotional connections and play
  • get in Capture Arts again to develop the creative thinking approaches and deepen the practice
  • embed the learning through in-house training and peer-to-peer support.

This will develop your children’s key workers thinking and approaches without losing our loving connection, which is at the heart of BeBright Bunnies.

What will change?

We hope to keep changes to a minimum. Currently Cher will remain manager of BeBright Bunnies and all key workers will be consistent. Although we will be looking for a new manager to start later in the year, overseen by Cher. There may be some staff changes, as we hope to recruit senior positions from our staff. We hope to keep this to a minimum but will keep parents informed every step of the way.

Job Opportunities

We are looking for passionate and innovative staff, that would love to grow with us and help our captains to achieve great success and outcomes. See details for our early years practitioner positions how to apply >
